Reinforced clutch system for the Yamaha X-MAX 400 Tech MAX

The MALOSSI Fly System combines a reinforced centrifugal clutch with a dynamically balanced steel clutch bell. The combination is designed for high demands in scooter operation and takes into account stressful situations such as frequent stop-and-go, steep streets, long traffic light phases as well as operation with a passenger or in hot weather.

Function and structure

The Fly Clutch uses a reinforced version of the centrifugal clutch. It is complemented by a clutch bell with carefully designed manufacturing features for a defined and resilient structure.

• Clutch bell made of forged Fe DC04 deep-drawing steel
• Carbon steel center section made from round material
• TIG welded middle section
• Welded anti-vibration band with a 3-point 120° pattern
• 100% dynamically balanced
• Surface hardened by nitriding
