The Regina Z-Ring chain 525 HPE with riveted link sets new standards in the performance and durability of motorcycle chains. This advanced chain no longer requires regular relubrication, which would be common every 1,000 km. This represents a significant time and cost saving for the driver and increases comfort and efficiency during use.

Extensive testing, both in the laboratory and on the road, has proven that the service life of the HPE chain is at least equal to, if not greater than, that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. A key feature of this chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The ta-C coating combines a very high hardness of the coated surface with a low coefficient of friction, resulting in improved performance. Eliminating the need to clean the chain and use lubricants also minimizes environmental impact. Developed through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy, this innovative technology offers motorcyclists a reliable and low-maintenance powertrain solution.
