The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring Chain with Rivet Link sets new standards in motorcycle chain performance and durability. This innovative chain does not require regular relubrication, which would be common every 1,000 km. Extensive testing in the laboratory and on the road has proven that the HPE chain has a service life at least equal to, if not longer than, traditional regularly lubricated Z-ring chains.

An outstanding feature of the HPE chain is the coating with tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surfaces of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive. The extremely high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction results in improved performance.

Eliminating the need to clean the chain and use lubricants also minimizes environmental impact. Developed through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy, this technological innovation represents a significant advance in motorcycle technology.
