Regina's HPE chain has been extensively tested both in the lab and on the road and has proven to have a lifespan at least as long, if not longer, than a conventionally lubricated Z-ring chain. Another highlight of this chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.
