SUZUKI GSF 1200 BANDIT [2006] - Z-ring chain

The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring chain with Rivet Link sets new standards in motorcycle technology. This innovative chain is characterized by its High Performance Endurance (HPE) technology, which eliminates the need for regular lubrication that would otherwise be required every 1,000 km. This not only offers motorcyclists a significant increase in comfort, but also a longer service life compared to traditional Z-ring chains.

Extensive testing in the laboratory and on the road has proven that the HPE chain is at least as durable, if not more durable, than conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chains. A key advantage of this chain is its coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced forms of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the chain's bushings and rollers and ensures a reduction in energy losses and an increase in efficiency in secondary transmission.

The very high hardness of the coated surface in combination with a low coefficient of friction leads to improved performance. Additionally, eliminating the need for chain cleaning and lubricant spraying during operation minimizes environmental impact. This technological innovation was made possible by intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
